So, I will be totally honest with you guys, my hair has completely changed since I’ve had Apollo. When he was about three months old, that’s when I felt like everything was changing. The texture felt rougher and breakable; it also felt like my hair was constantly falling out. I’ve never been one to really care about my hair care routine until now. Now I find myself constantly reading the back of bottles and looking for ingredients that are hydrating and nourishing. Then, I heard about Nature Box™ and their cold pressed Coconut Oil Shampoo and Conditioner. We’re a big fan of coconut oil in this household; I feel like you can use it for so many different things, and I was sold when I saw that this was cold pressed coconut oil. Also, it helps that it smells amazing. On top of that, I know that it’s adding nutrients back into my hair.
So for my haircare routine, I use the Nature Box Coconut Oil Cold Pressed Shampoo and Conditioner. They also have a body wash and lotion; I’m excited to try those out as well!
I use about a tablespoon amount to lather my hair with shampoo. Throughout the week, I use a ton of dry shampoo, texturizing spray, and a pomade. So on days when I do wash my hair, I make sure to really scrub and clean my scalp. I love that it is nourishing, and it’s really clarifying as well.
After I rinse the shampoo out, I follow up with the conditioner. I focus on the ends of my hair and carry it a little to the top of my head, but I really lather up the ends of my hair. I find that the ends are the driest part, so that’s primarily where I focus on. I use that and usually let that sit in my hair for a minute or two, that way it absorbs all the nutrients and makes my hair super soft.
I also love that it is free of all sulfates, silicones, parabens or artificial colorants. This, to me, is really important because I color my hair. To me, it’s really important to keep the color. Other shampoos have changed it before, so I love that Nature Box shampoo and conditioner does not.
After I get out of the shower, I use a mousse to add some volume to my hair to give it a little boost. Then, I typically let it air dry.
I love that you can find Nature Box Coconut Oil Cold Pressed Shampoo and Conditioner right at your local Rite Aid. Better yet, it’s super affordable, and the packaging is pretty, too!
A few tips to keep your hair healthy looking are…
– Limit the Use of Hot Tools
I love to let my hair air dry. Then, I add a little sea salt spray or texturizing spray to give it a bit of a lived-in natural look.
– Coconut Oil Treatments
I love using real coconut oil as a hair mask. You can purchase a hair mask, but I find that using coconut oil works just as well. Then, follow up with using your Nature Box Cold Pressed Coconut Oil Shampoo
– Always Use a Heat Protectant.
This will keep your hair soft and helps it stay styled!
Hope these tips and routine helped!

This is so helpful! I will for sure have to check this one out. My hair fell out like crazy after I had my son and I know I’ll have to go through the same thing again soon! Anything helps, thank you for this!

I love this! Ever since I moved to North Carolina my hair has definitely taken a change for the worse. It’s extremely cold and dry here and i’m not used to it.

I’ve been looking for some new haircare products for winter since my hair tends to be dryer and more brittle. Happy to see this can be found at Rite Aid & is affordable. Adding this to my list to try!
