Finding plants is one thing I love. I remember going to country side green house each year (multiple times of year) with my mom picking out flowers. I also remember getting in trouble for always trying to jump on those big carts. Anyone else? But finding our own plants for our home is something I’ve grown to love over the last few years.
There’s something about keeping and caring for them. I can’t tell you guys how much I love the early Spring days when we’re outside, Millie is running around in the backyard, Matt’s washing the car and I’m starting to plant our vegetables. Depending on the timeframe and how the weather has been I start our plants indoors. Now I’m still a new plant Mama (so leave yo tips below if you have some) but there is something so calming and peaceful in the morning when I’m watering them, opening the windows so they can soak in the sun and start my coffee. Literally my favorite time of day.
I’ve purchased my plants from different places, Horrocks, Home Depot, Countryside, and a few other local green houses. I’m still finding my favorites in our area but so far those have been my go-to’s!
Also, I was super excited because our chamomile, sweet peas and peppers started to bud. Seriously the most satisfying feeling!
Like I said you guys, I’m still a new plant/gardening Mama. If you guys have some tips please leave them below, also planning to plant some lavender in our backyard around our deck. It has pretty much direct sunlight throughout the day which I think is what they like? Anyways, Happy Tuesday Babes!
