So before you start reading this, if it’s easier for you I recorded the entire post which you can find at the end of this post! It might be a little all over – It’s all one recording not edited, no mic just the little voice recorder app on my phone so bare with me on this. But I hope it’s helpful, I know I don’t always have the time to read a post!
Probably the number one question I get is how to grow a blog/get more followers and how to increase blog traffic. So really, how to grow an audience and a blog.
The key to increasing blog traffic and actually getting followers is to stop looking at them as followers, and just a number but focus on growing a community and focus on your why. Why are you doing what you’re doing?!
Engagement
Even if you only have one follower, go and engage with them via social media, my favorite currently is Instagram. I try my hardest when someone comes and gives me a follow, I hop over to their page and like, comment and engage with them.
Writing With Your Own Voice
When I first started blogging a few blogs I totally admired I was trying to replicate their voice; I was like Oh since they’re uber successful then I should write how they write, right?
I think it’s important to try and follow strategies but when it comes to your blog, using your own voice is so so so important. Imagine writing a blog growing an audience with a different “persona” than what you truly are; your audience will be like whaaaat da!? That’s the beautiful thing about blogging. There’s so many people in this universe that need to hear your story and need to hear your voice. I’m giving you permission to be unapologetically you because YOU can make an impact.
Focus On The Content
It’s easy to slip into the beautiful black hole of Pinterest and discover so much fab content from so many brilliant minds. Personally, I LOVE to learn, I love books, I love audios, I love listening to podcasts, and sometimes I get too sucked into the business part of blogging that I forget to create the most important part which is the content! Make sure you’re always creating fun and excellent content.
Get a Good Idea Who You’re Writing For
When you start to get emails, opinions, and comments you start to realize and see that hooooly I’m not just writing for myself anymore, I’m writing for others too.. So it’s super important to identify who your audience is, who it is that you want to serve… A few questions you can ask yourself about your audience is…
1. What types of things is your ideal audience struggling with?
2. Who do you wake up in the morning wanting to work with/write for?
3. What is their personality type?
4. Are they an introvert or extrovert?
5. What is their favorite blogs/websites?
6. Are they a gal or guy?
7. What is their fear?
8. What were you struggling with 2-3 years ago?
Now if you’re uber serious about growing your blog, your business, followers and ultimately growing the right community, I have a 16 page workbook that is currently on sale for $12, yeah guys, 12 dollars. WUUT?! Now this price isn’t lasting long. I want you guys to know and grow your audience. I want you to have everything you need at the palm of your hands and something you can refer back every week or maybe every day. I know I refer back to mine numerous times a week. That is why I’ve made this workbook so insanely simple and cheap!
You gals have heard me say before, your audience is who you were 2 – 3 years ago, but what does that mean?
So, ask yourself what were you going through? Did you have a health crisis? Were you a new mama? Did you just become a stylist? Did you renovate a house? What did you go through?
Now in this workbook, we dig deep, deep in you and deep in who your audience is. You may just start to know them better than they know themselves.
So if you’re looking to,
– Create content that is not only fulfilling
to your audience, but to you.
– Have a WAY better understanding
of your “niche.”
– Know your ideal client/audience almost
better than they know themselves.
– Start creating out of love instead of fear.
– And you’re a blogger, small business owner, involved in a network marketing group or maybe you’ll looking to start and grown an online influence this is for you.
