When you were younger, you drew, you colored.
You said you’d be a doctor one day, or maybe the president and no one ever told you; you couldn’t.
You had fun, and you took risks you weren’t ashamed.
You thought you were awesome.
When you get older, you forget you’re awesome.
Escape life cubical. We get so caught up on pleasing everyone else that we now forget to please ourselves.
Media, friends, family society want to mold you and tell you to be something that you’re not.
Deep down, you have all of the tools that you need to be happy. Stand out as an individual. When you start to do that your soul will sing.
Know yourself.
Who are you? What are the things you like, and what pisses you off? What makes you smile?
Identify that.
Stop thinking and start doing.
Anything that might appeal to you go out and give it a try! Volunteer or take a class. Do something to get you in the right direction of it and see if it’s something that could potentially bring you joy.
Embrace yourself.
Once you embrace yourself, everything in life becomes easier.
Surround yourself with encouraging people.
You’re the average of the five people you surround yourself with. Surround yourself with successful people, inspiring people, kind people and people that see your worth. You’ll become successful, inspiring, kind, and you will thrive. If you surround yourself with people who suck, well, they’ll suck the life out of you.
Know what you want.
Know yourself but know what you want. Some people say they want x amount of money, but that’s not what they want, they want to care for their family, they want to travel; they want security.
Wake up joyful.
When you wake up, feel good and list out what you’re grateful for; even if it’s just in your mind. When you’re feeling good it’s contagious and people around you and notice. Opportunities will fall into your lap. I promise.
Do what’s right.
When you do the right things, good things happen to you. Doing things with the right intention will bring greatness to you.
What do you do to fuel your soul or bring you happiness?
