It’s the winter season and I’m a new mama lacking sleep, so it’s really really important for me to stay healthy during these winter months so I can keep up with my daily tasks, work, and my little one!
The five ways I keep my health in check during the winter months are…
I’ve always believed your overall health starts with your gut. There are so many books and documentaries on this but whenever I have a routine of taking a probiotic, I feel overall healthier. I know it can be a struggle to get inspired to eat healthier and move a little. If that feels like you, then continue reading!
1. Gut Health
I love theRenew Life® Ultimate Flora™ Women’s Care Probiotic 25 Billionprobiotics. I’ve been taking them consistently since 2016 when I was going through some major health challenges. My doctor and physical therapist all recommended me trying something that was for women’s health, and I’m so thankful I did. I also love that you can buy the exclusive 90ct of Renew Life Women’s Careat Sam’s Club. That way I don’t have to order them every month! Save $6 instantly at Sam’s Club now through March 24:

2. Green Smoothie
You guys, this can stay so simple. I freeze spinach, bananas and pineapple chunks. I add all of those plus ginger and a little almond milk to the blender and blend it up. I try really hard to drink this once a day. Doesn’t always happen, but I can tell a difference in my bloat when I do this every day for a week.
3. A Simple Workout Routine (I mean SIMPLE)
So, I don’t follow anything strict. I love some of the 7-minute work out apps, and I love blogilates and tone it up on Youtube. I just find something that gets me moving a little bit each day.
4. Lemon Water Before Coffee
Coffee used to be the first thing that I would drink each day. Lemon water has so many health benefits but even if you don’t have lemons, just make sure you drink a full glass of water before anything else!
5. Gratitude and Journaling
I think it’s important to keep the mind, body and spirit in alignment. I am such a big cheerleader for journaling, you guys. They say if you have 5 minutes to complain, then you have 5 minutes to do something about it. Whenever you feel yourself going down the rabbit hole of comparison, stress, or feeling overwhelmed, grab a pen and paper and just start writing. Write how you feel, why you’re feeling how you feel, but most importantly, write out what you’re grateful for. Because there is always SOMETHING to be grateful for. Even if you’re out and about, use your notes app in your phone to journal it out.
I hope these tips helped, and I hope you take care of yourselves this winter because you deserve it.
