Focusing on my middle dream is something I struggled with for a long time, I have no problem dreaming big. In fact, I think sometimes I do it a little too often. I forget the middle dreams that set me up to achieve that BIG dream.
For a long time, I never took my big dream, evaluated it and created a business plan for it. I was stuck in woo woo land for so long. I’d get frustrated because everyone around me told me to DREAM BIG and although that’s true.. But to achieve that big dream, you need to focus on the middle dreams..
Go as far as you can see and when you get there, you’ll see further.
What would they do…
Now take a step back and think, think about the person in that field that you love, and you admire. If they were in your spot if they were sitting on your couch right now if they were living in your monthly income if they were living in your current state of mental health what would they be doing TODAY, to get themselves closer to the lifestyle that want and desire. If they were living in your life right now what are the steps that they would be taking to get them to their ultimate goal.
Schedule It.
Take your huge goal and your huge dream and schedule it.. If it’s not on your daily to-do’s, even if it’s just moving one tiny step forward to it just do something today that will get you a little closer to that ultimate goal.
Worst Case Scenario
Think about the worst case scenario of this dream that you have.. I know I’m all about thinking positive and optimistic but imagine your big dream, your big goal just crashing and burning. What is the worst case scenario of it and would you be okay?
Is it bankruptcy, is it people talking bad about you, people laughing at you, they’ll make fun of you for trying?
This was something my Dad shared with me. Do the exercise, focus on the worse case scenario and keep replaying that situation in your head, until emotionally you’ve been through the trenches of it. You got over your ego, you got over the feeling of bankruptcy you got over the feeling of I’m not good enough.. You get to the point of, well I don’t really give a sh#! anymore, I’m over that. Now I feel good enough to move forward to the next necessary step of that goal because well, the worst case scenario just doesn’t scare me anymore.

Your Skills
So say you’re trying to get into coaching.. Are you learning personal development? Are you learning psychology? Are you educating yourself? Are you listening to the right people? Are you listening to people who have what you want and who have been where you are?
Think about the person that has they exact lifestyle or career that you really want and desire.. Go and figure out what they did to get to where they are today.
Your story won’t be the same as theirs but what books did they read, what audios did they listen to, were they spending their time in front of the TV or where they working on their goals. You need to develop the skill sets that they were developing in their early stages to achieve their big dream.
