Probably the number one question in my DM’s is what self-tanner I use. Now I’ve self tanned since like, high school. Haha. I feel like I’ve tried every tanner out there and I’ve tried the good, the bad and the really really bad. Like orange orange bad. I would say my currently this Bondi Sands (I use the Ultra Dark) is my favorite. I like this because it goes really great with my natural skin tone. It fades well it doesn’t blotch up I have a nice even tan throughout the whole week/weeks.
So every couple of weeks I’ll make sure my skin is clean and free of tanner. I’ve been doing this weekly now because I’m trying out the Kenzzi laser hair removal. More on that later. But when you’re using that you cant have self-tan for 48 hours. So I make sure that my skin is free of all tanner.
I’ll shower and exfoliate my skin with an exfoliating mitt. Making sure any dead skin cells are off. After I’m out of the shower I put lotion lightly on my legs. Love the Jergens ultra healing. It drys fast and keeps me hydrated. I tan my whole body with the Bondi Sands Tanning Mitt but wait on my legs until the lotion is fully dry and then some. Once it’s dry I apply it to my legs. I make sure to avoid my ankles, elbows and knees directly. I wait until I don’t have too much product on the tanner mitt and apply only a little product to those areas. Then I use the other side of the mitt to gently rub it in.
Throughout the week I make sure to apply lotion to my body. I find that it really helps to keep my skin even and not blotchy. I also think it helps the tanner to last a little longer.
If you’d like a gradual tan the Bondi Sands lotion is a great option. Sometimes I’ll use that on my legs as well but avoid my ankles and hands.
If I need to remove my tanner I love the Bondi Sands self-tan eraser. It works great and makes it so you don’t have to scrub the tanner off.
This is pretty much it! This post is in no way sponsored. I just love the Bondi Sands because it’s easily accessible. I’ve found them at Walgreens which is great! I also love the St. Tropez and Loving Tan products as well. Those are a little higher end.
Anyways I hope this was helpful! Happy Tanning!
