Drafting up your pitch and reaching out to brands isn’t easy… But the number one thing that will help make a collaboration actually happen is making sure you have the correct contact. It’s been countless times that I’ve drafted up an awesome pitch that I’ve worked on for hours on then it is either it gets sent straight to the spam folder, or the correct eyes don’t see it.
Over the last year/year and a half, I’ve reached out to different brands several times a day for potential collaboration and over that time I’ve learned where to find the best contact e-mail. So with that, here is the list that I use on a daily basis.
1. Facebook
Facebook has been awesome. I use my initial pitch that looks something like this –
Dear, (Brand x)
I was just curious, do you work with bloggers ever?
My name is Kristin, and I am the content creator and owner of the blog, Everythings Always Sunny. I have an idea for a blog post that would include using one of your products for a post. I’m not sure if you’ve worked with bloggers before, but I thought it might showcase (Brand x) to my readers/audience in a positive light.
If you could, I’d love the correct e-mail to send over a more formal idea/pitch to you.
Thanks so much!
Best,
Kristin Reynolds

You are almost guaranteed to get a response and correct contact info back as well.
2. Twitter
Get friendly with the brand on Twitter! Tweet, Favorite and Retweet the brand. Also, let them know if you’re shooting them a message. The message can look something like this –
Hello!
Just curious, do you work with bloggers?
They’ll usually respond with –
Hi (Name)
Thanks for reaching out Please send your pitch/idea to (Brand’s E-mail)
If they don’t respond with that, then you simply just ask for the correct contact e-mail to send a formal pitch to.
3. Google
This usually only works if it’s a bigger brand’s that you’re trying to work with. Google (Brand x) Social Media Manager or (Brand x) PR (Public Relations) Contact
4. Linked In
Type in the search bar (Brand x) Social Media Manager
5. Join a Network
Sign up with a Network. Mode Media has been amazing to work with. They send out new campaigns almost every week that aligns well with my readers & my blog’s overall aesthetic. If you’d like me to do a full blog post on working with a network, just let me know! I’d love to share that with you!
I hope this helped! Also, don’t be afraid of rejection. You’re going to get soooo many no’s. I get no’s on a daily basis. Either the brand doesn’t think you two would be a good fit, which is totally fine or the brand doesn’t have the budget to work with bloggers at the moment.
Just remember you are worthy of compensation. When you stand your ground with what you charge per project a brand will have the mutual respect knowing you take your blog/business seriously.
Go kill it, you got this! xo
