I have to tell you guys, it’s true what they say. These day’s go by so fast. I can’t believe our little guy is already a one-year-old. But we had such a fun time celebrating his birthday with our close family and friends. You know when you get married and you look around and you see everyone you love love in one place? It felt like that. I felt so grateful that Apollo has such amazing people in his life and they came together to celebrate him.
Now let’s talk about this balloon garland. It wasn’t too hard to make! All you need is some balloon tape a few different colors and you’re good. I think I’ll do another post about it sometime soon but it was really fun to make for him!
If you can’t tell, Apollo hated his cake smash. Hah!
For the cake smash, we bought our cake and cupcakes at Meijer. You only need to give them a 24 hours notice which is really nice. We went for a plain white cake and cupcakes then I DIY’d the stars with some gold paper I found in the craft section at Meijer.
For the food, we did a hotdog bar which you can read more in-depth here! We bought everything we needed at Meijer for it. I loved that it was something everyone loves (hotdogs) but then they were able to customize it to their liking with different condiments.

We really did have the best time at his birthday party. By the end we were tired, hot, exhausted but our hearts were filled wtih so much joy and love.
