This is just how we do it. I shared this on my Instagram and had some great feedback so I thought I’d share it here!
I change this up but the core of the smoothie usually stays the same. For breakfast Apollo either has a scramble of eggs with some veggies and potatoes. (which I’ll meal prep on Sundays for the week) Or he’ll have a waffle (kodiak cake waffles are our favorite) and we will always have some yogurt and a smoothie.
For his yogurt we usually get the Noosa ones from Costco and if he doesn’t finish it I’ll just put it in his smoothie!
So for his smoothie it is
- A handful of power mix (from Costco) they have tons of healthy greens in there.
- Banana which we usually freeze for the week. Or I’ll add any other fruits that need to be eaten in the smoothie
- Whatever is left of the yogurt he didn’t eat
- I’ll just fill the rest of the cup up with water and blend it! Then you’re done!
I find with toddlers you just have to keep offering. Apollo wasn’t a fan at first but now it’s his favorite drink of the day! Hope this was helpful!
