Don’t hate me, but I have to say these cooler crisp mornings here in Michigan are getting me a little excited for Fall. I know I feel like Summer just got here but there is something so cozy and comforting about these mornings.
Now that Apollo is a year old and this time last year I feel like I was in such a brain fog. We just had Apollo, we were so sleepless and it was such an effort for me to get out of the house. It sounded dreamy to go apple picking and pumpkin picking but wasn’t too realistic. Haha! But this year I’m so excited to bring him on all these firsts! So here’s a little round up of our Fall Traditions to-do list!
Apple Picking
You guys I swear things just seem much more magical with a little one. It’s like you’re experiencing all of your firsts again seeing them experiencing theirs. One thing I’ve loved doing this Summer is growing a garden. It’s been so therapeutic to me going out and picking our harvest. I’d love to go pick some apples with my two favorite guys. Oh and go to a Delilah farm. Didn’t know those beauties even existed here! But they do!
Pumpkin Picking
I feel like this is a no brainer? But to be honest, I usually just hit up trader joes or a local grocery store to find our pumpkins but I’d love for all of us to go and pick ours as a family!
Head to a Cider Mill
Apple Cider Donuts? Yes, please.
Homemade Soup
This might seem silly but I feel like I’ve mastered a great chili recipe and this year I really want to be a bit more adventurous and try a few fall-inspired ones. I’d love the try this one!
A Hay Ride
I feel like Apollo would love this. Nothing feels like fall more than a hayride through a pumpkin patch.
Take A Fall Drive
Here in Michigan, we’re surrounded by trees which I’m so grateful for and that means that when they turn they’re absolutely beautiful. There is nothing more breathtaking than a ride up north and taking in the beautiful scenery.
