I’m so excited to share our weekend trip to Traverse City, Michigan with you guys! This past weekend Matt and I decided to take a quick getaway for the weekend. We just wanted to explore and get out of the everyday.
We stayed at Hotel Indigo in Traverse and loved it. The rooms are super unique, the bar there is great. It’s so perfect for a little Weekend Trip to Traverse City because it’s really close to everything and just a couple minute drive to downtown where all the shopping and food is. Luckily there were a couple breweries were super close by. So we were able to walk to them which was super convenient!
A few people recommend walking around the The Village at Grand Traverse Commons. That morning they had a farmers market so it was a little busy. But the places is really cool! There are tiny shops inside and a few restaurants and a coffee shop called Cuppa Joe. (Which was great)
Then we took a drive downtown and spent a good portion of the day at 7 Monks Taproom. It’s like Matts dream because the beer choices were endless. Also the fries and flatbread pizza were BOMB.
After we ate we took a walk around the downtown area and did a little shopping. American Spoon is the most charming little shop. The Jams are awesome and the packaging is the super cute. All their products are super unique and made in Michigan which is we love.
We did a little more shopping and you guys I fell in love. There is a store called Ella’s and the girl working there was so sweet. We were trying to talk her into opening a shop here in Grand Rapids. There’s really nothing like it here! But you can shop it online which is super nice!
Of course, one of the go-to breweries to go to is North Peak. Food was SO good you guys, Apollo was starting to get a little tired so we did pack up a little early. After we put the kiddo down for bed you know we finished everything shortly after.
The weekend trip to Traverse City was nice and so needed. I think we’re going to try and make little weekend getaways happen more often. Although we didn’t head to warmer weather the little trip was so refreshing!
