Luckily this year I feel like the Winter here in Michigan hasn’t been as bad! But when it’s consistently cold outside and you’re pretty much forced to stay inside sometimes you can feel the Winter Blues start to sink in.
1. Get Dressed & Feel Your Best
Being a new Mama, Working from home and it being winter it’s so easy to stay in your sweats all day and i’m not saying wear jeans all day. Find some cute lounge wear that is stylish but holds comfort. But I think it’s really important to get dressed, get yourself ready I promise you’ll feel 100x better.
2. Fresh Flowers
This seems silly and this is probably because I can hardly keep a plant alive to save my life so I don’t have many real plants in our home but adding fresh flowers to our home every week is essential for making our home feel brighter and fresher!
3. At Home Workout
So it is easy to sit around eat all the hardy heavy foods in the Winter but even downloading a 7 minute work out app just do something to get yourself moving!
4. Get Out Of The House Once A Day
Even if it’s a quick run to target, to starbucks a local market just go somewhere! Sometimes just getting out even walking around a store or playing good music in your car will do wonders to get you out of a funk.
5. Writing and Focusing On What You’re Grateful For
If you need to feel better instantly. Focus on the the things in your life you are grateful for. It can literally be anything. But practicing gratitude is what I feel like is the single most important thing for your happiness. We get caught up in wanting things (which I get, I love nice and new things) but we always think when we have that or when we’re there thats when we’ll be happy and that is truly the furthest from the truth. Focusing on what you have right now and being thankful or that. That is the key.
