Happy Parade of Homes week! You guys, I can’t tell you how excited I was to be able to tour these homes and to share them with you all. The homes are so incredibly stunning, you can tell they’re built with so much love. One of the best parts was meeting with the builders and designers.
You can tell their passion for the Grand Rapids area and building quality homes. They have a love for community like no one else. They put their entire life into these beautiful homes. It was really amazing to walk through see their piece of art and learn why they did what they did. Each home is built with so much intentionality and purpose it was really awesome to experience it.
We toured four houses which were Home #34, Home #38, Home #42, & Home #53 I feel like I’m overusing the words beautiful and stunning but I’m not sure how else to describe them because they were! It was really cool to see the trends, but each builder did it in such a way that each home is so timeless. It was a mix of uniqueness, modern and a little bit of trendiness. I’ll defiantly be bringing Matt back through this week. It’s sort of the perfect little date night and to grab some inspiration.
Another thing I loved was that each home was so different from one another. There was one with a more modern feel, another with a farmhouse look, another that gave us all the mediterranean vibes then a stunning lake house. I listed above which homes I’ve featured but if you’d like to have some easier navigation you can download the HBA Parade of Homes app!
The HBA sent over some info and tips that I wanted to share with you guys just in case this is your first time touring the parade of homes!
NEIGHBORHOOD RESPECT
You are in someone else’s neighborhood when you tour. Be sure to honor the no-parking areas and do not block driveways or drive on lawns. Try to leave at least two car widths for passing traffic.
TAKING PICTURES & MEASUREMENTS
Some builders are flattered if you take photos or measurements. Others would prefer that you refrain from taking photos. Please ask permission before you begin. Be sensitive to other people visiting the home at the same time by not obstructing their view.
SHOE COVER POLICY
Please note, most homes require protective shoe covers over socks, not bare feet; provided by homes on the tour. You are welcome to take a new pair from your first home visit, and keep for use at each home on the tour
CHILDREN FREE ADMISSION
We are hoping free admission for kids provides a good family atmosphere for you to tour. For their safety, and for the pleasure of others touring, please keep children near you at all times.
COMMENTS ABOUT THE HOME Homeowners may be on site, so please refrain from making comments. Keep your observations positive while in the homes.
