Now I’ll be honest. This is something I am still working on.
Here’s the thing I know you’re busy, I know you’re taking care of so many other people, your friends, your family and the chaos that goes on in your workplace.
So why is it so important to work on yourself and develop that self image? So you can truly help and be more present with others.
oh and because you’re fucking worth it.
Journaling
Get out the gunk, just get. it. out. or it will come out in some way shape or form that you will not be pleased with. About 6 months ago I found myself with terrible pelvic pain and yes, I needed to go through certian medical treatments but one of the biggest things everyone told me is that I need to stop holding it all in and get. it. out.
So I did, I began journaling and I truly believe that has helped me with my self image and my over-all healing process. I got out anger, I got out the limiting beliefs, I got it all out… I started to forgive, I started to tap into my inner guidance system and I started to build self trust and self love again. I started to be grateful for the journey that God has put me on and I started to love, appreciate and be grateful for my beautiful and healthy body… Now that leads me into my next point
Gratitude
When you start writing out what you’re grateful for each day and focus on that, magical things begin to happen. Even if it’s just that the fact that you woke up this morning, that is something to be DAMN grateful for.
Ditch the Comfort Zone
Through anxiety and new expereinces we gain confidence. Get out of the house and go for a walk in your town. Go get a cup of coffee from a new coffee shop, go take that cooking class you’ve been like ehhhmm seems like a fun idea but I have no idea what I’m doing. Go do something that is way way out of your comfort zone and I promise you’ll begin to feel a lot better.
Embrace and Be Your Unapologetic Self
Because you’re a dope ass babe. I fucking promise you that. Embrace the quirks, embrace the things that you might be a little insecure about because they shape you to who you are.
Do some reflecting, take even an hour and unplug from social media and do some reflecting. Look at yourself and how you stand out. Try and figure out how you can embrace those qualities. Maybe it’s through fashion, start a blog, find out a way you can be proud and embrace it.
Be Kind
A co-worker shared with me something really special about my Mom. They said that her one act of kindess inspired someone else they’re close to, to do that same act of kindness each time they have the opportunity to. Because of my Mom’s one kind action she’s spreading so much kindess and thoughtfulness throughout the community.
Just do something small, compliement a gal on our darling outfit, or tell her she has beautiful eyes, pay for their starbucks. Do something small and I promise you, you’ll begin to gain more confidence and feel all-over better.
These conversations always continue in my Empowered Babes Empowering Babes group. Which is free and you can join here!
See you in the group, pretty babe! xo

thanks for the tips. It can be SO hard some days and I wish I knew why. I struggled for a solid month (march) with body image; way more than I’d ever struggled before. Thankfully I pulled myself out of that dark hole but it was rough. Here’s to loving yourself!
